In 1906, Asahel Curtis and W. Montelius Price were among the first hikers to reach the summit of Mount Shuksan. In their honor, three of the mountain’s glaciers are named after them. Still ranked as a popular obstacle for mountain climbers from all over the world, Shuksan is also one of the most photographed peaks in North America. This is due in part to the excellent access there is to this stunning mountain.
