The Neo-Colonial, formal style home completed in 1905, was the residence of the first hatchery superintendent, D.C. Booth and his wife Ruby.
At the time, it was one of the most modern houses in Spearfish with running water, indoor plumbing, electricity and hot water radiation heat. The house
was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979
