“The Wave” a 62- foot, sweeping petrified sandstone formation; is located in the heart of Paria Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. The Wave is a geological example of crossbedding in Navajo Sandstone. Visits to The Wave are administered by the Bureau of Land Management via a lottery system.
